This black and white is of a very beautifully colored lizard my brother and I caught in the desert. Each scale on its back was black with a bright teal spot, and its stomach had a few blue lines.
That's my hand, BTW. He was quite squirmy, and it was difficult to get him to stay at the right angle. Once we were done checking him out, we put him back precisely where we picked him up, as we always do.
