Monthly Theme: Hosiery...
...And How To Wear Crazy Legwear At Work!
I really love this pair of hose- it's sheer black with black diamonds connected with dots, and very subtle.
Merona hat, self-made jet bead necklace, thrifted velvet top, thrifted skirt, Talbot's hose, Merona shoes.
These are new and very, very bright red! It's nice to have a splash of color in an unexpected place.
Talbot's scarf (it has tiny high heels printed all over it, I love it), Land's End shirt, thrifted skirt, Merona tights and shoes.

You look very classy! Lovely outfits and perfect for work.
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteShowing just a small section of patterned hosiery is ideal for work! I was brave and did that with fishnets a few times at my last job. Just a bit of ankle, so most people would barely notice. I love the pattern on yours!!
ReplyDeleteThanks! Since I work in fashion retail, I have the freedom to wear bold and unusual trends in my outfits- I like mixed patterns and color blocking.
DeleteVery elegant and classic looks! :o)
ReplyDeleteThanks! When my manager saw the first look she asked what party I was headed to. Holiday clothes to be sold means holiday dressing! :P
DeleteI really like how your red tights don't match your burgundy shirt! I would be obsessed with trying to have it match perfectly, but it looks great with the red in the scarf you've chosen. I might need to step outside the box and try this myself! :D
ReplyDeleteAs long as the colors are in the same family- cool-tone red with cool-tone burgundy- I don't worry too much. The red at my ankles works to tie the red detail in the scarf with the dark colored tee. Also, because I am very tall, I can put interest points pretty much wherever... I have to be more concerned with visual width (and appearing blockish) than an elongated line.
