Style- Sketch Thereof

Last day of October! *whimper*

This is a sketch I just whipped up of what I wore yesterday:

Slate ruffle-neck tank and black ballet flats from Target, pale blue Calvin Klein jean shorts

It's laundry day today and I couldn't find anything I wanted to wear in my closet. Just one of those days. So I'm not going to scald your fashion-conscious eyes with a photo of the navy cloth shorts and navy mock turtleneck tee made of that moisture-wicking material golfers so love. :-P

Style- The Beginning

Today I wore-

The weather was nippy this morning, so I got to wear heavier, autumn-appropriate clothing!

Rose leather-and-hematite cuff from Claire's.
The hat (two years old), scarf (one year old), shirt, and shoes are all from Target.
The tights are brand new, Merona from Target, and quite comfy- mix with my favorite Land's End shorts, and I am a happy girl.

My brother helped out with the photography- thanks, buddy. :)

Jewelry- Scarlet Strands

A necklace made of seed beads, faux pearls, and gold; the top bracelet is three connected seed bead strands with small red flower beads; the bottom bracelet is one long strand, looped around itself several times... it can also be worn as a necklace.

Jewelry- Vintage Fish

Blue seed beads and oval glass beads create a wavy effect between bronze beads. The fish pendant I found in one of my grandmother's jewelry boxes!

Artwork- Sean Bean

Watched Patriot Games on Saturday- later made this sketch of Bean.

I need to touch up the shadowing and his hair a little...

Jewelry- Goth Choker

Four wires strung with opaque black seed beads and blue faux pearls make this Victorian-inspired necklace.

It took some experimentation to get it right- in a previous incarnation it had each pearl wrapped by five bead strands instead of three; it was too bulky.

Jewelry- Chains and Seeds

This was REALLY hard to make. I had to get the numbers of beads between each loop of the chain just so or it looked wrong.

Style 10.13.11- Galatic Goth

I used black everything to create a sort of "goth princess from the future" look- thrift mid-calf pencil skirt, H&M draped tee, pumps stolen from my mother, and belt.

And a close up of the makeup-
I lined my lips with a designated black eyeliner, and filled them in with a lipgloss I made from Alba's Unpetroleum Jelly and crushed matte black eyeshadow.

Style- 10.11.11

It's supposed to warm up around here tomorrow... It was foggy this morning, but sun is coming through the clouds, so maybe we'll get something!
I've been working on my "Awkward Blogger Poses." Next up- Hand as Hat. (Courtesy of Refinery29 :) )

Floral thrifted skirt (which was actually a strapless plus-sized top!) I've had forever, Walmart men's shirt bereft of its crew neck, and cloth sandals with a low heel. The belt is one of my favorites- I found it in my grandmother's closet, apparently made from a curtain; the clasp is two pewter bees.

Close-up of the belt.

Artwork- Johnny Depp

From Charlie and the Chocolate Factory- Willy Wonka during a, er, introspective moment.

Getting the right color on the lips took some careful work.

Jewelry- Teardrops

I found an old pendant in my bead boxes, so I incorporated it into a necklace I was already making-

Well, self-explanatory.

This one is better, and done more recently-
